Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Brandy (or cognac for a richer flavor)
  • ¾ oz White crème de menthe
  • Ice (for shaking and optionally for serving)

Instructions
 

  • Chill the Glass
    Place your cocktail glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while preparing the drink.
  • Measure and Pour
    In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz brandy and ¾ oz white crème de menthe.
  • Add Ice
    Fill the shaker to the top with ice.
  • Shake It Up
    Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well-chilled.
  • Strain and Serve
    Discard the ice from the chilled glass (if using ice water), and strain the cocktail into the glass.
  • Garnish (Optional)
    No garnish is traditional, but a mint leaf can add a touch of elegance.
